Bharat Vandana Park in Dwarka set to open in phases after repeated delays
17 April 2026 · Infrastructure
The long-delayed Bharat Vandana Park in Dwarka Sector 20 may finally open, though in stages. The DDA has asked the Lieutenant Governor, who chairs the authority, to approve opening finished sections while work continues on the rest.
The park covers close to 200 acres near the expressway's Delhi end. The first phase is expected to include a meditation zone, the Vandana Sarovar water body with boating, a large open maidan and basic visitor amenities.
Its best-known feature is a 'Mini India' zone laid out in the shape of the country map, with replicas of landmarks from different states. The project was originally meant to be finished in 2023.
What it means for buyers: a large green and cultural space close to the Delhi end of the corridor adds to the area's liveability. As of this report, though, the approval was still pending and the timeline had already slipped more than once.
