Dilip Buildcon-Ranjit Buildcon JV wins Rs 1,503 crore Gurugram Metro Phase 1 contract
2 August 2025 · Metro
Building work on Gurugram's new metro line got its first contractor. A joint venture of Dilip Buildcon and Ranjit Buildcon was the lowest bidder for the civil package on the first section, from Millennium City Centre to Sector 9.
The contract is worth about Rs 1,503.63 crore and runs for 30 months. It covers 14 elevated stations, a 13.197 km viaduct, a ramp to the Sector 33 depot and, importantly for this corridor, the 1.85 km spur towards Dwarka Expressway.
This is Phase 1 of the wider corridor of about 28.5 km with 27 stations, which will eventually link Millennium City Centre with Cyber City.
What it means for buyers: the Dwarka Expressway spur was included in the first construction package, which made it more concrete than earlier announcements. Still, a construction contract is not an opening date, so keep commuting plans based on current options for now.
