PM opens Delhi stretch of Dwarka Expressway along with UER-II
17 August 2025 · Road
With this opening, the full corridor is now open. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10.1 km Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway, built at roughly Rs 5,360 crore, together with a stretch of Urban Extension Road-II. Reports put the combined value of the projects at about Rs 11,000 crore.
The Delhi section has two parts. The first is 5.9 km from Shiv Murti to Dwarka Sector 21, and the second is 4.2 km from Sector 21 to the Delhi-Haryana border, where it links with UER-II. The corridor's tunnel system gives direct access towards IGI Airport.
UER-II works as a third ring road for Delhi. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the trip from the Singhu border to the airport could now take about 40 minutes instead of two hours.
What it means for buyers: Gurugram's expressway sectors now have continuous high-speed access to the airport and west Delhi. Forecasts of future price rises in the coverage were commentary, not guarantees, so judge any property on what the road delivers today.
