Toll collection starts at Bijwasan plaza on Dwarka Expressway
9 November 2025 · Road
Free travel on Dwarka Expressway has ended. NHAI started collecting toll at the Bijwasan plaza near the Delhi-Haryana border, and kept three lanes in each direction free for local residents for the first few days so they could sign up for passes.
Reported rates for cars without a pass are Rs 220 for a one-way trip and Rs 330 for a same-day return. Residents living within 20 km of the plaza can get a monthly local pass for Rs 340, and the national FASTag annual pass is also accepted here.
NHAI set up registration camps near the plaza. Residents' groups raised concerns that cab fares could go up and that some traffic might spill onto local roads as drivers try to avoid the toll.
What it means for buyers: if you live in the expressway sectors and commute to Delhi or the airport, the local pass makes regular use fairly cheap. Occasional users and cab riders will notice the extra cost.
