Yashobhoomi convention centre and Sector 25 metro open in Dwarka
17 September 2023 · Infrastructure
Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the first phase of Yashobhoomi, the India International Convention and Expo Centre at Dwarka, on September 17, 2023. It sits near the Delhi end of the expressway.
The campus covers more than 8.9 lakh sq m, with over 1.8 lakh sq m built up. Its convention centre has 15 rooms, including a main auditorium seating about 6,000 and a grand ballroom, and can host around 11,000 delegates in total.
On the same day, the Airport Express metro line was extended from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new station at Dwarka Sector 25. The Prime Minister travelled to the event by metro.
What it means for buyers: Yashobhoomi is a large source of business visitors and jobs close to the corridor, and its metro station is a useful link near the Delhi end. It matters more for rental and commercial demand than for everyday living.
